Clutch Adjustment

Fig 22.       Main clutch adjustment. Remove the clevis pin (1), slacken the control rod yoke end lock nut (2). Adjust the yoke along the control rod (3) to give a clutch pedal (4) free travel of 32 mm (1.25 in) (A).  The height of the pedal pad (9) above the step board (10), on tractors fitted with a single clutch, must be 139.7 (+6.6 or -0 mm tolerance), when the free travel is taken up. Tighten the locknut and secure the clevis pin

NOTE: It may be necessary to move both yoke ends along the control rod when adjusting a 330 mm (13 in) heavy duty clutch.

Fig 22.    Hand clutch adjustment. (Independent power take off). Remove the clevis pin (5), slacken the control rod yoke end locknut (6) and adjust the yoke end along the control rod (7) to give a hand lever (8) free travel of 51 mm (2 in) (C). Tighten the locknut and secure the clevis pin. If a stop is fitted adjust its position on the left-hand front step board to restrict the hand lever maximum over travel to 31 mm (1.20 in).
